PalmOne Tungsten E HandheldExcellent customer service. Product arrived in "like new" condition, as originally described. Vendor provided great setup instructions as well as discs for both essential and optional software.
This is my first PDA, and so far my only one. It stores all the contact info I need, with as much detail as I want to put in. when I suddenly remember something I need to pick up on the way home. Since I haven't had a different PDA, I can't say how it compares to others, but it's easy to use, easy to program, easy to download things, easy to update. It does what I need and so easy to use. Don't know how I'd entertain myself in doctors' offices waiting for appointments or waiting for anything. No problems other than not reading directions (my bad) and when I did finally look up a problem I found it was operator error (me) and easily correctable. I love that I can handwrite notes on it, when I need to write something down in a hurry.
I play games on it and the screen is bright and clear and easy to read. I download books and music on removeable memory cards and just use it in so many ways. I paid about $185 for it about 3 years ago, and it was a refurbished one, so I'd say this Amazon price of $45 is a real deal. Definitely one of my favorite things.
It was recieved in good condition but unable to download any PDA software, IT would have been nice to have ability to download with windows vista, and even nicer to have gotten a user manual or at least be informed of what was and was not included.
And with all these functions, this PDA has a great battery life. I bought a used Palm from Amazon Marketplace for school, and I am just pleased with it in every single way. When everyone else had a backpack full of textbooks and PowerPoint slides, I just carried my Palm in my pocket. The Palm also allowed me to play videos and music from my SD disk. I rarely, I mean rarely die on me. I had my textbook in PDF and my PowerPoint slides all stored in my Palm.
I had my Palm for about three years now. The functions were incredible for this little machine. It had certainly made college life much easier. When people are busy writing down notes in class, I just typed away with my Palm and wireless keyboard. When presentations were given, most presenters had a stack full of note card and printouts of their PPT, I had them again in my palm. It is still running strong.
What else could you ask for.
Once it was working again (after I reloaded all my information--calendar and contacts), I saw that I lost some of the programs. I bought my Palm Tungsten E (used but in excellent shape) over a year ago. It has been working well, although I still have problems getting it to Hot Sync with my Office 2003 applications.About 6 weeks ago, it froze, then crashed. There is no longer a calculator function.I pressed the reset button, and lost more applications. I am tempted to go back to a Franklin Planner.good old paper and ink.
